Bah. I can't believe that this is a not-used forum....

And since we're pretty open here, I'll ask a variety of things...

Will Senator Amidala die in the 3rd Star Wars movie?

Will Roland ever have to face the Crimson King (Flagg) directly? Will he be alone when he does it?

Who killed JR?

Will Senator Amidala die in the 3rd Star Wars movie?

perhaps a more fitting question would be "will Amidala be played by a human actor or a CG animation in the 3rd Star Wars"

i think she just might die, but then again, Leia remembered her mom as being sad, so probably not, unless the little tykes get born and are already about 5 years old when the movie starts. which would seem to leave out a lot of the story. so i take back what i just said about her dying. i don't think she will. *nods*

There was supposed to be a 10 yr space b/t the 3 movies.
We HAVE to see Leia go to Alderan, and Luke to Tatoonine. So while we have to see the whole sadness (no, not as in Enigma...heh) thing, I'm not too sure about her death either. Lucas should, however, show everyone's death (this is going to be such a long freakin' movie).

Let's see if anyone finds this one.

I think that the cookie and possibly the candy, that The Oracle gave Neo was some sort of program.
Any takers?

hmm...I'd never even consider that. It would make some manner of since, as thats how the blue/red pill/programs worked. But, lets assume they ARE...what would they be?

"...I promise by the time you're done eating it you'll feel right as rain..."
The "HEY CHOSENBOY! WAKE UP! (aka. let's give 'em a little(?) boost. He's gonna' need it)" program.

As for the candy, while I'm not quite as gung ho about this one, this is the second time that we have a visit w/ The Oracle, something to ingest and "life's about to suck a little more" news (this time, right after they part company). I think she's been helping him a bit with tapping in to his powers and abilities.
Back to the cookie thing though. She wouldn't even actually say "you are the one" or "you're not the one". He said it. After that he had to take the steps necessary for him to "know thyself".
I think she gave him part of what he need (verbally and (no laughing) orally) to get him there.

interesting idea and with that idea comes this question. were the pills that you have to choose from (the red one and blue one) also programs?

The pill Neo took was a locator program...I think they said that in the first one right before he actually swallowed it.

Im guessing the other pill was a *coughs* "He's not one of us lets dump him in the sewer now" pill.

As for the cookie/candy theory.... hmm wow I never thought of that but it makes more sense. I dont think it would be a power up mushroom alla mario bros. cookie or candy but maybe it was more of a "mellow" cookie to help him think clearly and reach that "know thyself" level on his own.

Of course, if they can come up with programs like this...why don't they come up with enhancing programs to give to all of their people when they go into the matrix?

I'm diggin' the "clear yo' mind" theory.
Anyone who has played the game (Freddy? is that you?) may have noticed that everyone going on missions had some skills (not chosen skills ofcourse). So they all must get the downloads (they're just not cool enought to fly and beat up on agents beat up on agents.

There's also the (more extreem) matter of, like using any other program, some people having a greater capacity to use programs/information than others.

O.k., this is only a last minute theory. I think that the Matrix Mamma the the Architect was referring to is Persephony (Monica Bellucci's character).
The whole "emotions vampire" aspect of her character, coupled with the factor of the "lesser mind" exploring the human psyche', seems to make her the perfect suspect.

ANY TAKERS?

Okay Matrix Rev is finally out, our theories have been answered and the trilogy has ended as for Episode 3 of Star Wars Amidala has to die to tie things up before A New Hope begins- Mace Windu vs a Sith, droids getting their memory wiped, starts with end of clone wars, Anakin gets mauled the twins get seperated Dooku dies and the Jedi are wiped out. It seems the new Star Wars film will have no big surprises as we know what happens by the next chapter.

So here is a new theory on a different subject. If you haven't read RotK don't read below!

Return of the King, we know Saruman is not going to get upto scouring of the shire as it will not feature in the movie, so how will he die? My theory is that Grima will throw him from the tower of Orthanc and Saruman will be impaled on a spike below. It keeps with the book sorta I think and I have seen a pic that looks vaguely like thats what happens. Anyhow just a theory.

Damn, it's a shame that no-one killed Saurman, but I heard that in the EXTENDED version DVD they'll have him in the Shire doing his nefarious-subversion bit.... I'm not sure how credible my source is, although he's an 11 on the 10-point fanboy scale for LotR

No, the scouring isn't happening. Saruman DOES have a small part near the beginning, though, in the confrontation with Gandalf.
