A few other folks have posted some of their original music in the past, and I don't know why I never did share mine before now, but... I went ahead and dug them out of the mothballs tonight.

All of these were done about 3 or 4 years ago. I hope to get back into composing more soon, so if you like these and want to hear more new stuff, then do me a favor... nag me. :p It does help. hehe

Everything you'll hear is original; written, arranged, recorded, and mixed by yours truly. Everything from the drum loops to the scratching.... I can't even remember how I did the scratching. :umm: But anyway, hope you enjoy... and WARNING: These might be kinda loud.

IntroMental (http://www.familyoffaith.cc/_jabbsmusic/IntroMental.mp3) (2.7 MB) - This being my very first attempt at my own material, it's far from perfect, but even four years later I still like it for how it turned out. I pretty much made the whole thing up as I went along, letting it evolve from measure to measure. And btw, the guitar solo in this one... I'm not actually that fast. I recorded it at a slower tempo and then used a plug-in to speed it up. hehe... but hey, whatever works.

L&FDC Theme (http://www.familyoffaith.cc/_jabbsmusic/LFDC_theme.mp3) (1 MB) - When I was building the website for my currently on hiatus drama troupe, the Lost & Found Drama Company, I wanted to have a Flash intro to open the site. I wrote this to play along with the animation (which I never finished). That's why it's so short. Even so, I think it's pretty catchy. I like it enough to maybe someday expand it into something more.

Believe In Him (http://www.familyoffaith.cc/_jabbsmusic/BelieveInHim.mp3) (2.6 MB) - A very gifted friend of mine wrote alot of rap lyrics, and for fun I offered to do her up a beat track for one of them. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it and there isn't much to it... I wish we could've gotten around to recording the vocals for it, but that never happened before she moved back to SoCal. I would've done alot of things different on this one if I had the chance, but hey... she loved it, she loved me for it, and it was just something fun to do. :)

Oh, and please do understand, these songs reflect what I was ABLE to do at the time and not necessarily what I would actually LIKE to do. Even though I'm mostly happy with what they are, they don't really represent my choice of style or genre. Hopefully my new stuff will... if I can just get around to making it.

Intromental: I found myself dancing around the living room. Nuff said. :quirk:

L&FDC Theme: You should really expand on this. If you finish it, I'll bet I can come up with lyrics. If you want. Just a suggestion. ~pokes at Jabb to finish it~

Believe In Him: This was nice, but didnt grab me. It misses it's promised lyrics.

~hugsjabb~ You should make music. I'd love to hear what you're up to now.

I agree, it is rather lackluster without the vocals. But I like the licks, so maybe I should do a re-cut version that isn't so long and doesn't have so much dead space of nothing but the drumloop and bassline.

Or maybe I should just mix in some rapping of my own :D ... :umm: No, nevermind, that's a horrible idea.

But glad you like, hon :) ... hopefully there's more to come in the near future.
