1. Have fun…and let others have fun too.

2. Don’t win (or lose) every time.

3. Keep in mind the difference between what you know and what your character could know.

4. If you're going to play a role in a plotline try to post regularly.

5. Since there will be multiple storylines in one thread, quote a line or two of the post you are continuing from.

6. Save your work--just in case.

7. On the character thread, the first post is an index of the currently acitive characters followed by posts for players characters (one char per post).

These are further guidelines for creation of particulars within the world. They remain no more than guidelines for a specific reason as I'll explain.

Creation of settings for Wars takes place in Scrolls (http://www.enchantedquill.net/scrolls/index.php/Main_Page), a wiki the Enchanted Quill maintains for creating settings together.

If someone wishes to post using a character, location, or race that they have not provided a Scroll description for, that is perfectly acceptable.

However, that character will have the designation of a "World" character until it does have its own Scroll. Therefore, it is usable by anyone, for any purpose. This character is exempt from the rules regarding the normal characters of other writers. (You still have to keep them 'in character' however, going by whatever has been previously posted in the war itself.)

Furthermore, any location or race that is used in the war without being first defined by the writer is open to definition by any other writer. The only stipulation being that they must stick to what has already been described about it in the war.
