Strangeness

Site's been weird for me the last week or so. REally slow, and getting slower. Today it wouldnt show me the new posts when I first signed in, it said there was nothing to show, even tho on the mainpage it said there were like 29 new posts. And I believe Apoc hasnt been able to get into chat recently. Anyone else having issues of strangeness?

Only that it took me forever to log into chat... and when i logged on it said nobody was there, but on the other page, it said someone WAS there... :eyebrow: weird...

Im currently experiencing the slow load times anita is describing. At first I thought it was my ISP, but google etc.. is loading without issue. Aside from that, I haven't noticed anything. Then again, I havent been on much this last couple weeks, so who knows...

Ok the last two duplicate posts were the same one, that timed out and eventually went through. Im not deleting one of them, cause I think it is relevant to the problem. I think I resent in the post twice, within 5 minutes , yet the time stamps on the two posts are about 30 minutes apart. Dwa?

It's all real simple. Anita's post, under this one, is made 20 mintes from now, so all that was posted before that time ends up before her post.

Just the time was off by 6 hours. For some reason.

i'm noticing strangeness today - the time is crazy! i thought mybe my profile options were funky, but I am still in Pacific time, but it says it's 3:40AM, but it's 9:40PM....

also having some sloooooowwww delays. I think i waited about 5 minutes to post something (which i subsequently copied with the intention of re-posting if it went screwy, only to then go and copy comething else :rolleyes:). My connection never timed out, but it never actually connected either. But that could just be me.

There is also the issue of the really slow load times. The first duplicate post I made, I shrugged off and thought I posted it twice. But the second time I am sure I didnt.


Eventually the post submission "stopped" and when I went to post again. then it shower up twice. Last night, the quill was definitely flaking out.

I know about the slowness. I've been experiencing it from the start, thought it was the connection maybe, but it's definitely lack of performance. Quite disappointing that :(

I don't know about strangeness, as it was bound to happen some time. But my profile pic seems to be censored from the hair down...No shock, as I said, but I feel a warning could have been issued. Who-hey, I have a pic again. All I had to do was tone down the hair a bit. I'm guessing deep down in the inner workings of the Quill-being, there is the spirit of an old big-haired-hippy hating man. Well I fooled him. I still got the same hair, it's just hiding. Hah!

anyone else getting this "database error" when they try to load the forums page? Should I be afraid? Should I jump into my bunker and put on my tinfoil helmet? Because, I'm prepared to do those things. Except that I'm missing a bunker and a tinfoil helmet, but hey, I can't prepare everything you know!

If you ever notice weird stuff, and you see me online, then either I'm messing around with the forum, or with your head just because I can. But in this case it wasn't me. Of course its related to stuff I did earlier. Buggy php code that affects everyone other then admins. Nothing personal. Really.

So ummm yeah...what's up with the new user control panel options? And why is there some tag thing at the bottom of the pages now?

Is it just me? Or does everyone have them too? Or are these new additions for me to moderate the heretics brigade usergroup better?

I have the new user control options too.. they seem cool.. I didn't notice any tags at the bottom of pages.. so those are probably your moderate things..
