Fantasy Literature Index (http://www.enchantedquill.net/~archely/fantasy_index/fantasy_index.html)

The Fantasy Literature Index is intended to be a comprehensive listing of fantasy authors and their works. It also attempts to include both reviews on these works by members of The Enchanted Quill's community, and any news items we find pertaining to the authors and their projects. All are welcome to participate in this project in any capacity.

This thread is for submitting authors and lists of their works, along with correcting or updating any author entries currently in the index. When submitting an author or works, this format is most helpful to me, but by no means required (note that color formatting no longer matters):

Author
-book not in series
-book2 not in series
-etc.
Series Name [# of books in this series]
-Book 1; Title
-Book 2; Title
-etc.
Additional Series [# of books]
-Book 1; Title
-Book 2; Title

In addition, despite this being a fantasy index, once an author is in, they are all in. All works, fantasy or not, of any particular fantasy author are ideal.

If you'd like to review a book, that goes here (http://www.enchantedquill.net/showthread.php?t=191).

Any posts that do not contribute will be baleeted.

Thanks for all your help. :)

arch, you left out lewis' space trilogy:
out of the silent planet
perelandra
that hideous strength

he has a lot more books, but i don't know that they're exactly fantasy or sci-fi, as i've never read them. although the screwtape letters is somewhat fantastical as it's an epistolary novel were satan and his nephew are writing back and forth about a guy the nephew is trying to win over.

Booooo...see, this is exactly the sort of thing we need for news items around here! if you know something is out/coming out, make a news item for it. :p

oh, and i updated for this after verifying it.
News? We have news? *has not looked at ANY of the features here* (heh, just realized that there is something called "points" of which I have 41 or something... don't know what they do, though.... maybe I should read a faq or something)

Well, LoCB came out in early August. Haven't read it yet, unfortunately, but it is near the top of my "must read" list. Enchantress should come out sometime next year.... it's mostly finished, IIRC from reading Brust's blog. http://www.dreamcafe.com/weblog.cgi

I'll have a few more authors to put up sometime in the near future. Really. :)

Say, you still have Lord of Castle Black switched with Enchantress of Dzur Mountain. LoCB comes first, and is already out.

Oh, and Orson Scott Card should have this added:
The Crystal City (Alvin #6), forthcoming (first third serialized on hatrack.com for free)
Sarah and Rebekah should be put under a new "Women of Genesis" series, with two future books to come out.
"Stone Table" is really "Stone Tables"
And there is another book, "First Meetings"

That's all I can come up with for now

I have finally gotten around to updating the format of this thing. You'll notice i cleaned up the thread quite a bit and edited my first post. The index is quite simple and fairly small at this point in time, so help out and make it grow. Some of the entries are clearly only partial as well. Hopefully the little things will be remedied soon.

Two links, those to a listing of reviews and to the listing of news items are currently not directed to what they are. I'm still working on a good way to organize those things. Just wanted to get this out there. I readily welcome any suggestions/offers of help regarding the format of the list. Just send me a PM.

Okay, I *think* this does it...this took quite a while to composite and sort out...so I HOPE it's right....and the Witch World books are VERY confusing...if anyone has a better idea of how they should go, please, sort it better...I used a couple different websites to make it look like it does now...

okay, I previewed it...it didn't come out like I typed it in, of course...everything below the initial Witch World heading belongs in that world, even the short stories...b/c it WAS so confusing, I didn't list anything below it for fear of making it even worse...
