So, having not been in chat in a long, long time - I had the pleasure of getting in there with arch and df a couple nights ago. Albeit briefly, we did come across a glitch in the profanity filter when I mentioned I was waiting for my brother.

It censored the word. From what I can gather, any word starting with a B and having an H in it triggers the filter. Brother, bohemian, bahamas, etc...


Chat looked very spiffy and lots of new features, I didn't have time to explore the options and see if I can just turn off the filter. I think I can handle seeing the seven dirty words.:devil:




edit: Ohhh ya... and HAL was in chat, and for kicks arch and I conversed with him. After a few minutes HAL bugged out and starting spamming all sorts of nonsense. Arch eventually banned him from chat due to not shutting up when told to do just so :D

edit: damn, of course it's not that easy. HAL's back. it must have just been the last time i looked the 10 hours wasn't up yet. just that i did unban him eventually, it still didn't lift the ban for some reason. (despite telling me it did.)

I asked HAL and he said that he's completely operational and all his circuits are functioning perfectly.

The B**hemian thing is fixed, I think. Some silly way of censoring stuff...
