I expect to look back (sometime) on this random spewing of thought and wonder why I ever did it, but it makes sense today to start this off. I was reading a piece Eyre wrote regarding how well we may get to know each other by our writing while not really knowing each other when we meet and I thought that perhaps it is good for the soul to bare parts of it from time to time. It may create a callous so that the soul is less prone to injury. Or, on the other hand, it may expose a place that the soul needs healing and someone out there will step up.
In light of the fact that I am in search neither of callous or healing, the above analogy even escapes me, but if it makes sense to any of you. . . there you have it!
Remember that this is my first attempt at a new thread. I doubt that it is likely to get any less ambiguous, but I find comfort in the fact that this feels like a safe place to write.
Fathers Day is coming. Do something nice for your Father - even if he doesn't deserve it. Perhaps ESPECIALLY if he doesn't deserve it. It doesn't have to be much. Men don't care anyway. He may thank you or he might not even notice right away. But even if your kindness is never acknowledged, know that YOU were blessed for your action.
OK, that is enough spew for now!

Americans are truly fast food addicts. Our economy is in the toilet and there are more than one hand ready to flush it. Though economic cycling is somewhat "normal" (albeit painful for many), we voted for "change". I must go on record at this point as saying that we were going to get change regardless of how we voted and I favored the OTHER change. But be that as it may, the more successful marketing campaign won. So here we are a scant 6 months into it all and already Americans (and not just the "naysaying Republicans") are grousing that nothing good is coming of this change we voted for. My political heart says that we got what we voted for - so don't expect much. But my political head says "Give it all a chance." We did not get here in a day, how do we expect to get out of it in a day? It IS horribly disheartening to see news clips of another 100-200 jobs lost, but turning this economy around is like turning around an aircraft carrier. It takes time and a lot of water.
