Basically, this is a trivia/comedy game with rules as follows.

1. I make the rules, and any of my rules are subject to edits or additions at any time.

2. I ask any number of questions, each having any topic whatsoever. They may be related to things in my life that i see day to day or anything i may see anywhere. Many of them will have more than 1 possible response.

3. Correct answers receive 1 point. Humorous answers also receive 1 point. Humorous answers that also incorporate a correct response receive both (ie, 2 points).

4. For each question, an "Archely's Best" is selected. An "AB" is a particular answer that is so great, it deserves special recognition. If an answer achieves this, it is worth an extra 1 point. I should also state here that if i don't feel there is a particularly great answer for a question, an AB will not be selected.

5. If you wish to play, you PM me with your responses. Please include your screen name in the subject line of your PM. If your answer is too long to fit in a single PM, simply send more than one. ;)

6. For any participants, there is a deadline by which all answers must be in by, normally two weeks or whenever i feel like getting to it.

7. First response for each episode will gather for itself a single bonus point.

8. You may replace or add to your answers for any week at any time up until i actually post the results. However, please include all of your answers in every pm. This way i don't have multiple pm's for the same player on any given episode.

9. Rule 9 is simply a recommendation that before you jump into the WTP you read the archives and get a feel for how the game is successfully played.

Any questions or comments on the game may be posted in this thread.

A brief history of the WTP:

A proto-WTP begins under the name "Random Crap Shout Out." Sent out over email, it's tender and judge is my cousin. It was very similar, except that it was completely done through email.
Progressing from that original version, eventually my cousin started a website. The Random Crap Shout Out took a place on the site, and scores were displayed. The site is no longer up, and for a while the Random Crap Shout Out was lost.
After a certain amount of time, the idea to revive the Random Crap Shout Out was initiated by a friend of mine who i had introduced to playing it through my cousin. He became the new judge and master, and it was reborn. Again initially through email, it was a sporadic thing....and then one of the more ambitious members created a site. The very first question of this newly created contest was to come up with a decent name. We no longer wished to use the Random Crap Shout Out, as it was all new. The winning answer for that was....
....Not WTP. Instead, it was "Is there a point?" This was the temporary name...until one day in a conversation with the judge, What the Phuck was truly born. I don't know where it came from, or whether he or I came up with it, but it stuck.
After that continued, the judge was soon overwhelmed by school load. He gave up, and it died once more.
Now, it has been ressurrected by yours truly, first on another message board, and now here, simply for your enjoyment.

Just a brief note... some people had expressed interest in the WTP again...

I probably won't be doing another one, but if someone would like to give running it a try for themselves (even if it's just for one time) i'm very open to that and would help out any way that they'd like. Just give me a PM and let me know if you're interested.
