View Full Version : Ice Cream Flavor

Okay, so the ice cream store just down the street from me is having a contest to name their newest ice cream flavor. The deal is, if they pick yours, you could win free ice cream for a year. So...last night i got a cone with the flavor (in a dipped waffle cone..mmmmm) and tried to think up something...
But...the only thing i can think of is Pee in the Snow, and while that's catchy, it's too long and not very appetizing. Heh. So...i figure, how about those smart nice people at the quill give me a little help?
The flavor is swirled chocolate and vanilla ice cream with caramel streaks in and plus those little peanut butter cups that are sometimes in ice cream. It's really good. Anyhow, if you could give me a few ideas, that'd be just swell. :D (Plus i'd take you out for ice cream if you visited me ;) )

Well, I'd call it "Bob" but thats probably not what you're looking for. Maybe "Bob's favorite flavor"? Or "Smells like Bob's spirit"

hmm if I give you a name and you win will you share the prize? I'll be expecting you to mail me lots of ice-cream if you win with this!!! hehe
actually this is really hard, especially since I don't know what peanut butter cups are, but they sound good so I'll try.
Peanut ripple
Peanut nipple
Peanut nipple cripple
or my favourite, Peanut scattercup
I bet we could somehow get a plug in for our site as well. For instance we could call the flavour "Enchanted quill"
I hope you win, I know how much ice products mean to you. :)

So? Did you ever turn a name into this contest? hmmm? Did you win? ;)

yeah, i turned in "bob."
no, seriously, i did.
i actually turned in peanut scattercup as well, because i think that's a great name.
the only other thing i turned in was elephant tracks. i know there's a moose tracks ice cream, so it kinda fit, and to my mind anyway, the circular peanut butter cups look sorta what i would imagine an elephant track to look like.
i don't think i won. :(
actually, i haven't been there since i turned in those three things, so i've no idea if the thing is even over yet, or what was chosen if it was.

oh, and the caramel could be elephant piss.

Baskin Robbin's peanut butter and chocolate. Pure heaven in a bowl.

If we're talking "plain" ice cream, I'm going to have to go with peanut butter icecream too. Mmmmm... sooo good.
If sundaes and other such concoctions are allowed- well, the local DQ makes this incredible "Peanut Buster Parfait." It's soft-serve vanilla icecream, with lots and lots of hot fudge layers within, and peanuts within the hot fudge. And all that in a plastic sundae holder.
Now I want to buy one :( But that local DQ is closed and will remain closed for the next few months.

Best Ice Cream Desert thing ever is the DQ Mocha Smoothy.
It's this ice + ice cream + plus mocha syrup stuff and they mix it all together to make this ice cream cappucino type thing that just tastes incredible.

Ooooh I LOVE Green Tea ice cream you can get at Japanese restaurants after some good sushi times. Mmmmmmm also red bean ice cream is very tasty. I crave both at the moment.... well that.... and maybe a lox bagel... mmm lox
Buck
February 4th, 2004, 08:58
Ok I can understand lox and bagels (mildly). As long as it isnt an ice cream flavour.
But those other two things you mentioned are not icce cream. Bean? If it isnt vanilla bean it shouldnt be a bean in ice cream. :dozey:
Mes, your a great person but have scary tastes in ice cream.

yeah, i love ice cream too...who doesnt....ill eat any kind of icecream tho, with a couple of exceptions....
no excessive chocolate...dont know why...just hate tons of chocolate unless its syrup
no names like moose tracks, rocky road, ect.... im not sure here either....just to frightened by the sound of them i guess :p
no icecream with veggies/greens/beans....sorry, but if i wanted to eat heathy, i would go to subway...
and all the others are about equal in my eyes, withholding cherry nut, my standby when i have trouble deciding....
Jennifer
February 4th, 2004, 13:28

really? I went to school there for two and 1/2 years and was met with quirkiness and openmindedness never since met...and now I live in NYC.
(betcha can't tell if I'm being sarcastic or not...can you?)
But on to ice cream.
MMmmmMMmmmMm...oh, ice cream. How I do love thee. Oh how I really really do love thee.
Mr. Frosty, will you marry me?
And when I gave up sugar for a year, I didn't realize what this would do to us, Ice Cream, my love. Truly I did not.
Eddy's sugar free is a cruel joke--a biproduct, I am sure, of an dairy farm caught in the crossfire of chemical warfare.
And though Soy Delicious is as it says, it can never replace you, my sweet and creamy.
So will you wait for me, dear heart? I promise I will come back to you...I just need time to work some things out.
I love you.
