wow I find that really interesting and exciting yet sooo creepy.

The western world already consumes much more food than it should to the point of obesity, while others starve. Yet here is a treatment that could cure the obesity side of things so people can consume as much as they want or even more (in fact it will be required, as anyone with a fast metabolism knows they HAVE to eat more or they suffer for it) it seems so insane in our decadent society. But then the applications go beyond weight control, extremely physically taxing jobs could probably make good use of this, a person could work twice as long and twice as hard with built up metabolism. hmmm but yeah in some ways maybe thats not a good thing either. Already people are overworked in many places. the medical implications are exciting too... this may help people with chronic fatigue (its my personal theory that chronic fatigue has a bit to do with metabolism as well as immune system problems) *ramble ramble* nice one FF.

Ohhh I read this the other day. My initial response was that of creepiness but the more I thought about it the more it sounded like an awesome discovery. The potential effects on our society's health is HUGE!
