So, my landlady just called and said, "I don't know if you've noticed, but you don't have any water." I responded, "No, I didn't notice." So anyway, she runs me a key to one of the other units so I can shower and stuff. Her plumber is at church, and she hasn't gotten word back they he will be able to come fix the problem. So.....would it be appropriate for me to streak down a flight of stairs and across a courtyard to get back to my room after I've showered?
So, tomorrow morning I will be jumping in the car and driving down to New Orleans. Just a day or so stop then off to Corpus Christi. I won't be around until I get internet in the apartment so, I'll see you guys when I see you. Not looking forward to the trek either, and let me tell you, when you aren't moving completely and are packing just the things you need for a few months, its a pain in the ass. I've been standing here looking at stuff thinking......I might need that, then I stare some ...
So, I accepted a position in Corpus Christi, TX. On November 26 I will report for work. So It appears that I will be offline alot in the next few weeks. Good news is that it is good money and the apartment is right on the beach. I expect that some of you will come and see me there. Bad news is that it is a 32 hour drive and I will be making this trek all alone. Fun in the sun and umbrella drinks will be plentiful, so everyone will have to come see me.
So, I took the day off to jump through hoops. I am taking this opportunity to chime in on beaurocracy. I hate it, as do all of you, or at least I think you hate it. So, anyway. I've overcome the hurdle or graduating. 3 years of hoopjumping. Then, I registered for the exam to get my license, more hoopjumping. So now it is time to transfer my license to the state that I live in, and also to Texas because I might be working there soon, flaming hoopjumping time. There are now 12 ...
So, I'm sorta in a weird place. Between goals, in the middle of life. Now that I've finally graduated and passed the licensure exam I feel lost. For the passed 4 years I've been jumping up at 3am to go to work, then off to class at 8am, then back to work at 5 to work til 11pm then home to sleep. Now I am only working while my license gets transferred to Texas where I will be working for a few months. My evenings have felt sorta empty now that I have no studying to do and I don't have to work ...
