Fireworks

It's been a while since I last shot some fireworks. There's an "international" fireworks festival here every year, so more then enough opportunity. I simply watched last year, no camera there. And the year before I took a few pics, but nothing serious. But I'm back! I shot some pics two nights in a row. Missed the first due to working (very) late and some last minute decisions. Instead of taking my camera, I took Colin with me. And he loved it. We barely missed the first show (there's two every night) so we watched from a distance, but the second round we were there, on the beach, all the way up to the front. When you're that close you don't have light pollution from the boulevard, just the stars and fireworks. Breathtakingly beautiful and quite overwhelming. You not only hear the explosions but you can feel them as well. Colin certainly was overwhelmed and taken, and laughed and shouted out loud at all the big bangs. No better magic then the enthusiasm of a kid

Anyway, pics, yeah, I took a bunch. Here's a few. Enjoy!

Those are amazing! We had 4th of July Fireworks on the inlet in Florida and I thought that was pretty awesome. It's nothing compared to these. It's official-I might just have to move there. Anyplace that has a fireworks festival with two shows a night is the place for me. PS-Your photography skills are awesome, too. Thanks for sharing.

Hah, and I was thinking the 4th of July Fireworks in the US must be magnificent. Nah, this isn't that big, but when you're pretty close, it can be overwhelming.

Oh, in the good ol 'days sometimes we had three shows a night!
