Pretty sure the January date is accurate for the US release of DoD...I would recommend going the Amazon UK route. Or Book Depository if you don't mind a sort of lottery shipping style.

Also, holy crap, DoD is SO GOOD.

Haha, soon you can hate me too! I was at my supplier yesterday, originally just to get the last two volumes of a comic I read... Browsing through the shelves, I found the elusive Hero of Ages (!) as well as the new RS Bakker book which I had no idea were out. Then, with the now respectable heap of books I approach the counter. And there I see it. What's that? I demand. Huh, says the little fat man behind the counter (he's both little and fat in a ood way, I love the man) WHAT'S THAT? Oh, the new Erikson. That's right, don't you read those? Anyway, this one's been injured in transport so I'm returning it for a new one. Give it to me. It has this large dent on the cover, see, and GIVE IT TO ME!

You see, when I've seen youse around here bragging about having the book I though you were talking about the hardcover. With something like fifty books in the yet to read pile, I cannot defend getting that one... But the UK release the big paperback simontaneously. Good for me!

Finally found the time to dip into Dod, and my god if this isn't the shit. A definite pickup from Reapers Gale and Toll the Hounds (even though they were good to). I guess when you can get Quick Ben, Bugg, Tehol, Fiddler and Hedge, to mention some, in one chapter, you have the makings of a bona fide book

Ok, I know I am way behind here, but I was at Borders the other day and saw Gardens of the Moon, so I got it, and just started reading... already on chapter 3.

So i'm sitting in a bar in thailand, having a drink and a smoke and blasting through toll the hounds when suddenly I scream, like really fckn scream "FUCK! What the fck, NO!" and then i realize i'm being looked at by other folk and i kinda just look at them in annoyance and made mumbling curses under my breath as i slammed the book down, "fck sake erikson, you can't keep doing this, the surprise would be to leave the cool hero character you've built up to fckn live, that'd be a surprise!" but no, as it built and built, my dread grew and grew and my hope that erikson would give this hero a happy ending...he didn't. When i got back to my room i threw the book across it, similar to how i had for three other characters (Coltaine, Whiskeyjack and Trull Sengar.)

go and join hoods legion Murillio and ride at the head of the host with toc! Hood knows you fckn earned it!

Meh still only managed to read the first book. Barnes and Noble haven't released E-Books of these so I won't get to the next book til they get off their arse. The fiance says I have filled the apartment with too many books and she bought be a Nook so I don't take ALL the space up.

I just picked up Dust of Dreams yesterday actually, but I haven't gotten my teeth into it yet.
