Notes
- This is an extremely truncated summary due to the stories length
- Detailed character information is deliberately left out; check the Character thread for that
- Eventually this might be filled in with more detail but in the interest of time and getting things going again, just the bare bones for a new person to be up to speed and jump in are listed
- My apologies to those who feel left out of the summary. Something you feel is a major plot event, in my opinion might be more character back-story.
Once upon a time, a man named Dorian “acquired” the Whistle of Alazar in the forests of the Sylverwood. From whence he traveled back to the city of Bloomingdale and gave the Whistle to the Princesses. Upon receiving their gift, the Princess Unique blew the Whistle, knowing full well its rather sinister history. Thus the skies did darken and there was no more light. Epidemics of woe afflicted the peoples as apparent random acts of chaos abounded throughout the lands.
Various characters did thusly emerge onto the scene and embarked on quests to determine the cause of all the chaos. Others soon joined in on the party but were decidedly detached from caring about all the chaos and went about their own merry little ways. All in all, Princesses plotted, ex-slaves served, priest’s pontificated, warriors laid waste, a dwarf debated, and Ehrenhals entered the fray.
Yet where most sought to bring about changes both good and bad through deliberate words and actions, one inadvertently managed a major plot shift through sheer dumb luck. As it would happen, a rather inept elven mage named Cheltar dispelled the darkness that covered the land.
So the light did once again shin upon the land and the peasants of Bloomingdale did rejoice. Until that is when a biblically sized flood crashed through and washed them away. Eventually the flood subsided and the few remaining peasants once again rejoiced only to be incinerated by the razing of the city by invading Dragons. It was a bad week to be a peasant. Luckily, a new queen named Selena came forward and was able to calm the fiery beasts.
Collectively bandaging their wounds, both the heroes and villains regrouped. But there was to be no rest for the weary. Rumors of gods walking the land soon were heard by every ear. Sightings of Taranos to the south, Derecko the north and Alazar being everywhere were passed along faster than a hot potato of death. Armies were marshaled in Neves and the outskirts of the Narch desert.
Events it seemed were coming to a head, and the fate of the world looked to be in the hands of madmen. God save the Queen…
