In order according to a random pattern:
Story A:
I arrived disorientated. I was in a new environment and it seemed very harsh to me. Things around me were gruff, rugged and well, solid. It was a new experience, one that left me confused and lost. I felt alone. The gentle caress I was part of was stripped from me. In one fell stroke, I was separated and cast out. I longed for the return. Beginning to stretch out, I became aware of what was around me. I felt the air rush over me and hardness beneath me. I curled up and beaded down the side of the leaf.
All In a Day's Work
“Can you really baptise a demon?” Asked the apprentice, afraid.
“We are about to find out.” Said the Mage, shaking with excitement as he stared at the foul little beast caged before him. It was the size of a kitten, and it hissed constantly in a fury of boundless energy. “I baptise you---“ he began, and spoke the words. Holy water splashed down from his hands and exploded onto the creature in cloud of vapour. When it cleared there was nought but a little puddle of goo at the bottom of the cage.
“Guess not.” He shrugged. “Want some tea?”
Water
Countless molecules, countless souls
forever trapped, like fish in bowls
Ancient memories the only release
remembering the journeys, feeling the breeze
It had brought life to many a land,
mountains and boulders it reduced to sand
Alive and free, a part of the Mothers great plan
now caught in the machinations of man
Once the force behind a waterfalls rage,
now contained, like a bird in a cage
Once running wild, now forced tame
fighting and struggling, trapped just the same
Like an angel chained to the top of a mountain,
such is the life of water in a fountain
Story D
Sitting on the dock, feeling the worn timbers beneath me, I speak to you—and you to me. The waves move gently, creating a joyous rhythm. Your hand in mine; all is well. Time passes wistfully.
The sea becomes angry, violent. And yet, you plead with me to swim with you. You slide gracefully into the dark water, but your hand remains in mine.
The seas tug, and for a time my grasp remains true, feeling the warmth of your hand despite the mist and you still call to me.
In the end, I am the one lost at sea.
I have given pleasure to the world because I have such a beautiful ass!

I hate only being able to vote once. I always regret my decision.
A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.
No. Seriously. My boyfriend is music.
hmm... is it my fault again that this died? it certainly appears as though i dropped the ball. my apologies.
in any case, the winner according to the poll that's up is Dark Fuschia, with All In a Day's Work.
Story A belonged to Buck
Water was Eyreplenh's
and
Story D was written by Malcor.

-Malcor "Absentminded" Sylverwood
Knight-errant of Carealot
Soulstealer's old (and reigning) archnemesis
~has a Star at the center of his universe~
The Hermit in the Tower
The Fool's mostly stable sidekick
HAHAHA no votes for mine, brilliant :broken:
I wanna be like a goose and fly to new orleans for the winter and to canada for the summer.
Gaidin to Amelia. She is the bomb. And the keeper of satan's nose. Acually, all I have now is her right nostril...
Is anyone still interested in simply dispensing with the competition aspect of this and simply making this a writing exercise? *Someone* puts up a theme at the beginning of every month, and through the month whoever wants to can simply put up any 100 word story that they feel like writing. Multiple stories, if they so wish.
Maybe every week? Actually, if we came up with a big list of possible themes, we could simply choose from the list at random and say, put them in the calendar or something.
so, what say you?

I can't write just 100 words!
We need another 'Lots of Words Story Competition.'
