Knight-errant of Carealot
Soulstealer's old (and reigning) archnemesis
~has a Star at the center of his universe~
The Hermit in the Tower
The Fool's mostly stable sidekick
"Quinn" a name given to him by slavers who called him that based on his race
Quinn is a 7' male peloquinn, with a muscular frame and practically no visible body fat. His skin is a deep brownish red or russet and his dreadlocks (which are normally tied back are a slightly brighter red than his skin. His reptilian eyes are sky-blue. Due to a peloquinn's tolerance of pain he adorns himself with various body piercings on his pointed ears and chest. His teeth are all sharpened and the talons on his large hands are black. He prefers to wear little except breaches and boots and usually carries a large weapon such as an axe, hammer or broadsword.
Quinn was captured by slavers who dealt in gladiators and spent 5 years as a gladiator winning practically every fight. Now he seeks passage home and will join a cause that can provide him with said passage. He longs to get back to his 4 children, who were all begotten from different mothers (which is taboo due to his race's 'lifemate' mentality) Though usually gruff and angry and seemingly stupid, he has a sense of honor and usually finds himself trying to do good. His largest flaw however is the opposite sex. He can never really turn down a beautiful woman who offers herself to him which has gotten him into more trouble than he could possibly imagine (how do you think he became a gladiator?).
Quinn also "suffers" from visions of things that are or are to come. This usually comes in the form of "telepathic" messages or realistic hallucinations of what is about to happen. He hates these visions seeing himself more of a warrior not worthy of these powers because he does not know what to do with them. He also requires large amounts of raw meat to sustain himself and worries tha the day may come when he loses control and feeds off a person (a sentient being of any race)

"Wickedness is a myth invented by good people to account for the curious attractiveness of others."
What part of Mwa ha ha ha don't you understand?
Some heroes are made by their actions; a person performs great deeds and becomes, in the eyes of all, a champion. For others, being a hero is something inherent in one's soul. That these latter individuals will perform great deeds is inevitable, for it is their nature. When and how often they perform them, however, is constrained by fate, and in some cases can be further constrained by malice...
Bren is a memeber of Ameloct's city watch. An aging man, with more than one touch of grey in his hair and beard, he has served the watch nearly his entire life. As a youngster he believed he could actually help things and make things better, but with the continuing decay of Ameloct he has become cynical.

Nadia, an 18 year old girl with long raven hair and big brown eyes, is a student at the esteemed Wizarding School of Onimas. She has called Onimas her home since her parent's dropped her off on its doorstep at the age of five, when her telekinetic ability began to manifest itself. Her parent's, being prestigous members of a human only sect that has built its home in an unmarked and secret location along the shoreline, felt that their daughter's ability would be grounds for their eviction from the sect. So without care or remorse for the only daughter they had, they gave her to the wizarding community and never looked back. The pain and confusion from her parent's act of selfishness drove Nadia to an intense focus on her studies and a knack for getting into trouble. The combination created one of Onimas's brightest and possibly most dangerous students. While Nadia may have the knowlege of a certified wizard, she has never been able to master the use of that knowledge. Her skills come and go at inopportune times.
Nadia is a shy girl who speaks very rarely. At first glance one may dismiss her as weak. But under the surface burns a wildfire of anger and hurt that, if ever unleashed, could have dire consequences for its intended.

Dainian Noradeis
Age-38
The former Kings Champion, disgraced and banished from the southern Dardenian kingdom, whereabouts unknown, alive or dead unknown.

The child's piercing eyes peak out from behind the mop of scattered brown hair. They seem haunted with knowledge, and this is because they are. That long-thought destroyed sect of scoundrel wizards at Onimas worked their magics on him. It was a wonderful success too, and probably would have provided them the key to power and domination over the nations. They wanted a tool they could use to know answers to questions, but Pill escaped before they "sealed the lad up". So there was a Knower, possibly the first ever, who knew the answer to every question asked him. It was terribly frustrating for Pill, however, because although he escaped before they "scrubbed him clean", the initial working damaged him. He could answer the questions of other people, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't ask a single question of his own. As a result he appears exceedingly wise, but is in fact one of the least informed people regarding normal life.
He stands a little over a meter in height, tattered clothes and busted shoes mark him as a refugee. This is mostly true, because the wizards are still after him.
walk with a limp
Standing about 5'5" her short, choppy black hair gives her a slightly boyish appearance, which is accentuated by the men's clothes she tends to wear. Her deep blue eyes and full pouting lips are all one needs to see her feminine appeal. Her slighlty pointed ears give a hint of elven heretige. A silver eight pointed star is tattooed between her breasts and goes to great lengths to conceal it.
She is often blunt and speaks her mind whenever she feels which often gets her into plenty of trouble, not that she minds. Despite her confidence she often wanders about with a look of sheer curiousity and is secretly fascinated by everyone she meets. She compulsively helps those she sees as in need of help and would give her last coin to feed a starving beggar.
She does all this despite her parent's wishes and will look over her shoulder every so often expecting to see something coming over the horizon (which she constantly scans). Sometimes she seems awkward concerning fine motor functions as if this was not the form she was born in. She usually whispers strange names in her sleep, the most common being 'Darksmoke', 'Al'Meara', 'Arioch' or 'Duar'Dew'.
She travels sometimes with a large peloquinn whom she refers to as 'The Big Red Idiot'

Warren was one of Onimas' prized pupils. He excelled in the powers of the mind and was a seer of great power. Unfortunately he was rather lanky and clumsy and was often the butt of the others' pranks. One time as the classs was sailing to another island they tricked him into boarding a pirate ship. The pirates recognized his talents and kept him for months until they crashed on some mysterious island where he tried to escape. The pirates would have surely killed him if not for the interference of a large red beast man. The two became friends and Quinn being as young and stupid as Warren decided to adventure with him. They met the lovely Moirayne, whose passion for life guided them on many a misadventure.
eventually they all went back to their lives despite the bonds of friendship.
years later Warren uncovered 'experiments' taking place within Onimas' halls and tried to stop them. This put him on the run. He called on his friends once again but they arrived too late. He could not let his power pass to the wrong hands so he put them in a place where no one would think to look....

A young nobleman from one of the three major Houses left in Ameloct, Dimas is plagued with the responsibility of succession after the assassination of his brother, then the would be heir-apparent. With the nobility in Ameloct a dying breed and little more than playthings for the throne to serve as their excuse for a court, every scrap of power or influence tossed their way is bitterly fought over and disputed. The blow to House Arturo has left them reeling and Dimas can no longer pursue his passion as a kleptomaniac... or can he?
This day, this time, what is in a word, know not I.
Lucky and Gnat were send to a mysterious far off land as emissaries of Ameloct University. Mostly they are just a pair of academics who came good on a government grant. They chartered a medium sized ship and sailed off to this mysterious far off land to check it out and send greetings and write a few papers on the locals. They both enjoyed the journey immensely, met many mysterious natives, some with exceptionally interesting athropomorphic traits, and also awoke untold evil when they stopped off to check out an uncharted island on the way home. They are mostly unconcerned, being as they are, academics, and disinclined to let untold evil stop them enjoying a good government grant.
Lucky is a small and voluptuous woman with dark hair and sparkling friendly eyes. Gnat is almost twice her height, tall and rangy, of gruff composure, but with a good natured heart.
Illyana, Age 24. Priestess of Corzon . Wavy thick red hair that reaches slightly bellow her waistline dark blue eyes and a pale complection with a few freckles. 160cm aprox and curvy though very petite. Preferrs to dress in dark green , blue or cream colored dresses with a tight bodice, lots of cleavage and long billoughing skirts when not wearing the temple robes. Illyana was born in Ameloct and sold into slavery at the age of 4 because her parents could not afford to keep her. At the age of 15 she was bought and freed by a Corzon priest at the Bloomingdale slave markets. The priest took her into training in the temple of Corzon in Balenoct. She is kind but has been through enough in her life to harden her, she has a hard time letting people get close to her and though she is a devout worshiper of the God of love she has never really experianced love first hand in any other way than humanitarian.
the son of a wealthy merchant prince, Julian Kell is a very clever young man -though not nearly as clever as he thinks he is. after learning of wedding arrangements for him and some snooty rich girl, Julian decided to flee his fathers house and went wandering about. He has no plans, no money and no intention to quit his carefree lifestyle anytime soon. His parents have never made any inquiries at Julians whereabouts and have sent no bounty hunters to track him down. Julian interprets this as his parents way of acknowledging the futility of trying to out-think him. The notion that his parents just plain
don't care where he could be or what he might be doing, is not something that would occur to him.
EDIT: apparently he's in his fifties now. ~shrugs~

Aedai (EYE-day)
Aedai is a spirit wolf, an animal not-quite of the material world. She was originally from another plane of existence, but was moved to the material plane. She does not remember why, nor care.
She is intelligent, in an inhuman way, and understands a number of languages, though cannot form words herself. She is capable of making her thoughts known in a number of surprising ways, and has a limited form of local telepathy. She stands about five foot tall at the shoulder (GET METERS), and is strong enough to bear a small to medium sized human as a mount for moderate distances.
She is traveling toward the city of Ameloct, though she does not know why. She came down out of the Black Mountains, and has been circling it from a distance in secret. The same thing that moved her to the city now makes her wait.
The spirit wolves are a part of nature’s own defense against threats on her realm. They appear when the balance is thrown off, and help to restore it. They are fast healers, but are especially vulnerable to iron.
They are really an intelligent race, but possess much of nature’s wisdom and limited magic, mostly pertaining to healing and the hunt.
