It's a laptop, so no buttons on the monitor... Tried all the hotkeys and whatnot, but in the end, the restart did the trick. And no worries, I easily could have skipped trying those buttons
So now that's gone, I can finally, hold your horses, pay some bills. Oh yeah.

I could pay bills. If I sold the laptop first. But I'd rather press random buttons and see what happens. So far all I got was a red NOPE, not that one message

Checking the DVD I had made of some of my father's old 8mm films he filmed back in 1982-1985. First time I've seen some of those since 1989 and the first time I've seen some of those ever. Nostalgia galore. Can't wait to give it to my mother at Christmas.

I think we have some of those too. Allthough, I don't think I am the star of very many. Very early in the whole camera experience I learned that putting the lens protection cap-thingy while my father was filming would make him grunt. Also, weighted down with the big camera I could outrun him
I am currently browsing some subjects I might want to take next semester. What I should be doing is writing the last article of this semester, but, you know, whatever.

I'm in the car heading towards my certain doom. Err, i mean im going to Hillsboro to go skydiving. My friend at work talked me into it yesterday (yes, YESTERDAY!). It's something that I've always wanted to do, but I didn't expect to be doing it today. I'm pretty pumped, but I'd be lying of I said I wasn't also scared. I never worry when I get on planes or roller coasters because the thought never crosses my mind that something could go wrong, but today there's a real possibility that I could die.
But I'm 98% sure that won't happen

meep! good luck arawis! I always mean to go do that, but then I have a hard time paying money to get tossed out of a plane.
I am drinking tea and enjoying my first day off in 2 weeks, which is also my first day of not having a job. By choice. Like a fool!
Yesterday it felt like a huge burden was lifted from me knowing that I never have to go back there if I don't want to, and when I do, it's on my own terms. So that's pretty good. Plus I have a gig lined up for next week (possibly tomorrow) and while part of me is hoping that times will be a little slow, that is certainly not a guarantee.

Anita, that's totally understandable. I only did it because my friend had already paid for it. But, it was super awesome so you should do it someday!!

Yay! Glad you survived your certain doom Arawis.
Anita, congratulations on your unemployment. I think even I will be happy not to be reading about the terrible injustices that occur at your workplace every day - although, between you and Mike, your injustices always made me feel less alone re the terrible injustices that occured in my workplace - but I have left there too... so looking forward to making the quill more full of workplace justness and wholesome productivity and reasonablness. New job is looking pretty reasonable so far. whew, although slightly jealous of my husband who is also now unemployed.
=)
well on that note I guess I should go be productive now I am in a proper job again...
