Q. So, what is "The War"?
A. The War is one part role-playing, one part cooperative story telling, one part general fantasy, and a whole lot of imagination parts. The War is basically an ongoing story written by members of the Enchanted Quill who assume the role of different characters in the story. The setting for each ongoing story is different, and can generally be found in Scrolls, the Enchanted Quill's world-building wiki. The plot is determined by each of the Quill storytellers as they craft their piece of the story.
Q. How do I play?
A. First, you need to join the Quill if you haven't yet. Then read the Rules and Guidelines. After you've read that, read this. And that's it! You're ready to go!
Q. Where can I ask questions not covered by this FAQ?
A. This very forum. Please look to see if someone else has already asked your question before creating a new thread.
Q. How do I know what the setting is for each War?
A. The Enchanted Quill runs a wiki called Scrolls, which is used for collaboratively developing worlds. One use of this is to develop worlds for Wars in this forum. Wars simply being fun exercises in writing together. War threads should link to the Scroll page for the setting they're using in the opening post.
Q. What are 'World Characters'?
A. World characters are created by a player to enhance the story. Unlike a player's primary and secondary characters, the world characters can be freely used by any player.
