Thanks Wendyll for starting the thread in my absence, and my apologies in general for not reading the book. I read about twenty other books though..
Fragile Things, by Mr. Gaiman, has won the vote for next book, but maybe it would be best to delay reading this for a while, as it might not be out in paperback in a number of places yet. UK Amazon apparently wont have it in stock until April.
So unless anyone strongly objects, then tomorrow we officially start reading Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley![]()

okay, discussion belatedly started for Brave New World.
Next book shall be Nausea, by Jean-Paul Sartre. strictly by the numbers. i'll set the discussion date on the calendar three weeks from tomorrow.

okay, i'm saving the previous poll in what is probably going to end up being a badly formatted quote, but i'm too lazy to fix how it looks. i'm going to delete the poll, and then see if people want to put up suggestions for a book to be communally read for this. then we'll do another poll and start in on another book. suggestions in by one week from today, when the poll will start and be open for a week. after that reading period commences.
feel free to re-suggest something on this list that wasn't read before. also, books that are available to larger portions of the group are more likely to be selected. plus it's just nicer in general.
