pft, old news. well, at least i knew about it last week. you gotta have your finger on the pulse man.

check out chapter XXI of the silmarillion. this is one of tolkien's three "great tales" i guess. beren and luthien, and the fall of gondolin being the other two. anyway, supposedly this tale is in the silmarillion just as the lord of the rings is in there.

Of Turin Turambar is also one of my favourite tales in the book and it took me a moment to realize that that tale in the silmarillion is a brief telling of the tale of the Children of Hurin and from what i understand, it is the only one in the silmarillion ~shrugs~

read it ages ago. think beren and luthien would of made a better book.
