Heal//Hurt v. 2.0

Are people generally interested in another game of this? Maybe in a week or 10 days to give other people a chance to sign up? Just post if you're interested.



Rules:

1. All players start with 21 points. Players who reach 0 points are "dead" and out of the game, with one exception.

2. Each day (starting midnight EST) every player has 2 points to distribute as they see fit. Hurting (subtracting) or Healing (adding) to other players' scores in any combination. ex. -2 to A, -1 to A & +1 to B, -1 to A & -1 to B, +2 to B, etc.

2a. You cannot heal or hurt yourself, and you cannot heal a person above starting points.

3. Once there are only 4 players left all dead may again distribute points.

4. Last person with points is the winner.

Possible variant: Someone has contacted me about the possibility of a variant rule. This person would be another method of distributing points. You could appeal to them for aid in defeating a foe, at the cost of your own "life points." ie, you would ask them to deal 4 damage to a certain other player, but have to take 4 points from yourself in return. In addition, they would be free to decline requests. If you post to play, post what you think about this as well.

I'd play again. Though I think rule 3 should depend on the number of total players as with a larger group it could take quite a while to get down to the final four and then the rather quick ending. The past game took about 3 weeks to complete and while long games are nice for those still playing, the first couple out could be waiting quite a while to get back in on the action.

Though this could be a mute point if we decide to add the variant rule which while it may add another level to the game I think it goes against the simplistic nature of it. I'd rather try a game life mafia for more complexity than Hurt/heal.

I actually almost wrote in "20% of the starting players" instead of 4 there, but i just went for a simpler version. I think that's a good idea as well.
