I've been visiting my family for the holidays and have had not much to do during the days especially this last week since everyone I know was working. Aside from going to the mall all I could do was play really old school games on my laptop.
So, I was playing a little bit of Castlevania (which Ive beat) and some Zelda (which Ive beat many times over) for fun. I hadn't touched these games in years and seeing them again was a fun trip down memory lane. A few days ago I remembered this game that I had when I was a kid and I just simply did not get it. It was extremely difficult, the manual and story line were near no help. Basically it was this massive dungeon crawler that you needed to use different characters to access various parts of the dungeon to uncover items that let you get deeper in.
The game was called Legacy of the Wizard, had anyone ever had the graceful fustration of playing this game? I've been playing it for a couple days now and I'm basically cheating by using maps and a walk through and still having a absolutely teeth gnashing time getting through various bits of the dungeon.
I figure Ill have the game beat by Christmas. I'm at the most difficult part of the game (about 4/5s from the end) and shut it down cause this one puzzle I was trying to get through was too frustrating to finish for now.
Any of you guys have a game you played as a child but could never beat and always wanted to? Something that was especially difficult and bizarre and special?
For me it is this game, Legacy of the Wizard, and River City Ransom which I'll be hitting up next. Hehe, I might even play Metroid...
