I bought a sweatshirt online and it came on friday. I love new sweatshirts when they are all new and soft. I also love what it says:

"Goddess are like Angels with bigger boobs." there is also a picture of an ancient carving of the goddess. Cant remember the name but I recognized the image.

Anyway, it fits me.

I'm getting an ipod! I really shouldn't-That $250 bucks could be put to much better use (like paying more on my credit card). But,I'm going to be spending a lot of time wandering around campus, studying between classes and sitting outside concert venues...I really need something to drown out the noise. My phone will hold music..but not a lot of music and it only pulls music from Windows Media, not itunes and, for some reason, I can't figure out how to get some music that I have on itunes (like all my Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn & Mumford & Sons) over to Windows Media in order to get it on my phone. Also, my phone is the best camera I have right now and the more music I put on my phone, the less pictures I can take. It HAS crossed my mind that maybe what I should do is NOT get an ipod but, instead, get a decent camera. But the one I want is about a hundred dollars more than the ipod..and again...I still can't have ALL my music on my phone.

Thoughts? Opinions? Rationality? ..someone make this decision for me!

I got a phone to do it all, call people, take pictures, play music. Great all-in-one contraption. Too bad it sucks at ... well... everything. I've replaced the shiny new toy with my old phone and I'm happy once again. In the next decade, when I have some money to spent, I'll buy a nice pocketable camera, keep my ancient phone, and don't give a damn about goodies that play music ~sighs~

I've never regretted getting an iPod. iTunes and it's obnoxious demands of being upgraded all the time is starting to make me choke the life out of Steve Jobs, but the little thing itself has functioned quite well -and I don't think any of the other alternatives can match the interface and usability. i received an Ipod shuffle for my birthday and my former Will downloaded a bunch of songs for me with his boyfriends computer. I like it, no complaints but I was told if I want to download more songs or take off songs I have to use the same computer or it will take out all the songs. Since I no longer see my former Will, I wont be able to do that and that kinda makes me sad.

meh. the iPod is pretty much the only thing that Apple has ever done that is actually pretty good. I swore I would never give that bastard my money, but when my old iPod died, I had to swallow my pride and actually go and buy a new one. I admit it. I really, really, really like my ipod touch. I can check my email and facebook while I'm at work and not be spied on by my boss (who only occasionally spies on people, and probably would just harass me if I looked like I was doing something not-work, but he wouldn't really care).

I have a phone that does everything. Know what I do with it? Make phone calls. Sometimes I check the internet to see when my next bus will be coming. Very occasionally I take a picture with it, but that's pretty rare. I barely even use it to make phone calls. (I don't like talking on the phone, I guess I got that all out of my system when I was 16).

Amelia, there are ways to get all your stuff off your ipod. Probably. They might not always be easy, but with enough perseverance, all things are possible. (I don't actually know those ways, but I'm pretty sure they're out there... pretty sure.)

I brought home the Brandon Flowers album last week and I JUST now put it on (it comes out in about 10 minutes)! It's amazing. Really. I'm not a massive Killers fan. I like their singles, but that's about all I know. Brandon Flowers makes me want to completely go back and buy every Killers album that exists. Go buy it!

Also, I've had an ipod before. I had the very first generation one and it lasted until about a year ago. Now I need a new one and I just can't decide what route to go. I'm pretty sure I'll get an ipod classic since that's the only one that will give me the ability to continue to grow my music collection. But I'm also pretty unsure of if I want silver or black. ...The decision is literally really stressing me out. I don't understand.

But, I also really want a decent camera. I cannot get both of them at this time. I'll have to get one now/in October and the other later/in January. I just can't decide which to do first. Probably a camera so I can take better pictures on my road trip. This, of course, assuming I can manager so save enough money FOR the road trip and still have enough left from my SL reimbursement to GET the camera. I'll probably put off until RIGHT before my trip. Still..it's stressing me out.

Also. Go buy "Flamingo" by Brandon Flowers. Right. Now.

Amelia, you have to download and install itunes and then download this software called copy tran:

I think you don't even need to use itunes but copytran needs it installed to work.

I am going to try it myself but haven't gotten around to it.

You can actually move all the files straight off your ipod by somehow changing the settings of your windows exploror to show hidden files, but they are labelled funny and you canonly recognise them in itunes. But itunes will recognise them. I am sure there are instructions somewhere for that, but try copytran first!! It might be easier.

Thanks Wendy and Anita. I will try at some point because I need some new songs on it and some taken off (I really dont need all the James Bond theme songs and the dance music and he put way too much Def Leppard on it).

I now also realized that he has my cord that I have to use to connect the computer to the ipod, Im not too worried about it and Apple store is opening up in town. People are freaking out, they are excited. Im thinking "ok, I can get my cord thing there)

I found my 'Marie Antoinette' DVD! It's been missing for months. I thought, perhaps, I'd loaned it out to someone who never returned it. It seems as though, instead, someone slipped the DVD case into the 'Twilight' o-ring. ...For a second there, I was really confused as to why I had TWO copies of 'Twilight.' I've decided to remedy this crime against Sophia Coppola by selling my copy of 'Twilight' along with a bunch of other movies I'm getting rid of.

In other news, I'm going to watch the crap out of Kirsten Dunst tonight!

I installed a new internal hard drive into my laptop last night!

Me! I unscrewed my laptop, took a chunk of it out and replaced it with a new chunk. A chunk that I picked out on my own, by the way. Then, I installed Windows 7. Except the DB at the school store gave me the upgrade disk instead of the clean install disk and I didn't realize it until I had already put it in and the product key wouldn't work. I had to try a bunch of stuff, but it ended up with me on the phone with Keeper and doing F2 at start up and being on a blue screen (the same shade as the death screen) and changing the boot order. And, I understood exactly what he was telling me to do. Which was good because we forgot to change the boot order back, later, so this morning my computer wouldn't boot, but I remember how to go in and change the boot order, again.

Basically, I feel like a complete BAMF.

New year is off to a good start. Wedding planning is underway. We've pretty much decided on April 30th. Its a monday, but I think its the decision. now we just have to plan enough to get there and make it a success. eek
