I have a new oven.
My old oven was literally around 50 years old. It was actually wired into the building. My landlord had to install a plug-in for the new one. My new oven has a clock on it (with timer!), and a window on the oven door, and a light inside the oven. Also, it beeps when the oven reaches the temperature you set for it.
My old oven is still in the kitchen though, because I'm waiting for my brother to come and bring a friend to help haul it down 3 flights of stairs to the laundry room where we need to put it. My brother is SUPPOSED to be moving in to the apartment downstairs today, but apparently his roommates are throwing him a good-bye party, so he's moving his stuff in "later" (it's already 7). Goofball. I guess today is the day he learns that you move first and party later, because moving even one small truckload of stuff in the rain after dark is just dumb.
Regardless... I have a new oven! Weeeeee!

One of the Lead teacher's quit yesturday. So my boss asked me to work all of her hours from now on. so now I am going from the drop in hours (just 14hrs a week) to working 32-40hrs a week.. so happy about that.

At the new job we get free fresh soup at lunch every day
And it's been good every day so far (vetgetable soup, tomato soup with meatballs and today asparagus cream soup).
This fact pleases me to no end
