After I wrote my rant about my mp3 player, I realised surely I mustn't be the only one with this problem as after all sony is a big name brand, maybe there will be a forum out there with some suggestions. Thus far my searches for an answer had only been within the sony website. When I searched the WWW I immediately found replacement software recommended for people with my problem. I downloaded it and its perfect. It functions just like drop and drag and I can now find all my converted files. YAY!!!
