National Novel Writing Month

So, it's unfortunate I just stumbled on to this since the month is half over, but it is a very cool concept to prod yourself into writing more.

The idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in a month, starting November 1 and ending by midnight November 30th. In the information, it states that the idea is more about quantity than quality, and just getting over that hump of the difficult prospect of writing any 50k word novel, much less a good one.

Now... if someone would only give me a hard deadline for when I need to try this by...

Well, how about december 20? Or, if you're willing to postpone it yet further, like say december 10th, when my cozy little exam spree is over and I'll give you a run for tha money?
