    Arrow The war drove

Myrna: So there I was. I had taken out my old wardrobe and piled clothes everywhere all over my room... watch out for that pedestrian... but when I started putting together the new wardrobe I realised... watch out for that other pedestrian... it was one of those wardrobes that has to be screwed into the wall!

Pavo: You're talking about...? This journey just keeps getting longer the more time I spend with you, my accidental companions. Although I consulted many charts and oracles I did not foresee that my quest to find the Elixir of Sanity would contain such.. unusual trials.. By the Gods of the Twenty Heavens, could someone please turn down the heat? My armor is starting to melt.

Myrna: Anyway, because our house was a rental... watch out for that cyclist... I had to take it back to the store!

Pato: Elixir of Sanity? I thought this was just a beer run. Every time I take a nap we start another quest.

Sinn: Why oh why would any madperson want to be sane? It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to this sick world, Pavo. I implore you once again to give up this nonsense, the elixir is a poison i don't think you really want anyway, it'll just make you boring. And why the fuck are you wearing armour in here anyway? You deserve to roast for such foolery. Gah, dammit Myrna, we could be on fifty points by now, stopping telling him to miss!

Tepa: Leave the heater on! Otherwise we might get too... comfortable. Besides it's healthier this way.

Tepa: You of all people should know comfortable does not always equal nice, Sinn... Now just take a moment and watch how that droplet of sweat performs poetry down the cheek of Pavo. Watch.

Sinn: It's his own fault for wearing that armour...but i am taking joy in watching him bake.

Pato: I, for one, submit that the heat is comfortable. How else would I manage the ride with no pants? Pavo's armor is only melting because it's made of chocolate wrapped in tinfoil. Doesn't it smell delightful? Perhaps not as effective as steel, but I suppose it depends on who your enemies are.

Pavo: I never said the elixir was for me, Sinn. And that is not chocolate, it is bamboo. This is the armor that my venerable ancestor Lo-Fly wore five hundred years ago when he set out on his quest to find the Elixir of Madness. Not once did he remove it in the course of his wanderings, and neither shall I. Of course he was never obliged to hitchhike either and spend most of his quest in a stuffy automobile that reeks of cheap pine fragrance listening to the nagging of vapid heathens while he dehydrated from sweating so much. He had his own trials of course - gorgons, evil spirits, bandits, and the like - but they are nothing compared to this. If I have to tell you one more time to keep your hands away from my jar, Pato, I will throw you out the window. These are not olives, they are the hundred eyes of Argus which I must exchange for the Elixir. And why is it that I am the one who is doing all the driving? This is Myrna's car, isn't it? You are all just so... Really, don't any of you have quests of your own?

Myrna: Weren’t you listening to me? You’re driving because, watch out for that telephone pole, my nerves are completely shot after the incident with the wardrobe.

Pavo: I heard you, but I still find your discomfort hard to accept. In my homeland the women are not so easily unsettled. You remind me of my stepmother, who came to us from a distant city supposedly carved from ice and spent most of her days looking in the mirror and playing cards with the retinue of simpering maids she had brought with her. She was only sixteen, but at the same age my mother had killed twelve unworthy suitors with her blades and oversaw the management of the better part of her family's estate.

Pato: Better watch out, I do think we're heading into dire panda territory. Also, you mean the 98 eyes of Argus. My quest is sadly over and done, a long and heartwrenching tale of betrayal, deceit, love and revenge, and avenging the revenge. Of course, once I had found the car keys, I couldn't find the car again. Hence the hitchhiking. And I wouldn't mind driving, but my martini keeps looking at me. I think I may have had too much. Where is that wonderful odor of chocolate coming from?
