I know there's that whole, 'don't give up your rights' thing. I completely understand it and definitely feel like we've given away too much as it is. But, what exactly is entailed with the full-body scanners? Do I still have to take off my shoes? Do I still have to get a pat down? Honestly, if taking ten seconds to walk through a full-body scanner will save me the awkwardness of getting felt up by creepy people and save me the million and a half years it takes for everyone to take off their damn shoes...and then put them back on again, I think I'm okay with the body scan. I know. I'm lazy.

I'll one-up your body scanners by adding absurd security pat-downs to the list. Because you know what? Unnecessary. I imagine that just having well-trained canines at the airport could do the trick quite well. They have them in NZ to check for illicit plant/food matter coming in. I'm pretty sure they use dogs to sniff out explosives all the time. Plus, dogs on leashes held by people in uniform are inherently a little scary, and let's be honest, all this security crap is about keeping people afraid to commit crimes because they are afraid of getting caught (either before the deed is done, or after). So, my vote is with Fido.
