What kind of books would people like? I was thinking shorter books, since not everybody is a lazy student who reads three or four books a week minimum. A limit around 250-300 pages perhaps. As far as genre goes, apparently this is a fantasy site, so we could focus more on that sort of thing, but I don't think we should limit ourselves. It's important too to have books which few people have read. So either we need to know who has read what when we decide on our list of books, or we need to tackle only books which are obscure and/or difficult.

Actually, I don't fancy buggering around with this for too long. The list will sort itself out eventually. If you're in, say so, and if you want to, make a list of books as well that you think are worth a try, and post it here. If you've read a book on a list (and you're definitely in) then speak up, so we can get an idea of what's been too widely read.
