I am so sick of christmas christian pity-parties. you live in a country which self-identifies as approximately 70% christian. shut the fuck up about your damn holiday being stepped on. it's not. just shut up. if someone says happy holidays to you, don't righteously respond how it's really merry christmas because that's the reason for the season. it's only christmas now because some clever christians decided to horn in on a bunch of pagan solstice holidays, so shut up and just be happy someone said anything nice to you at all.

Ugh. I just got an asston of negative feedback on my latest blog at work. It was about the closing of this venue. Basically, I said I didn't care-and I don't. But, I got accused of trolling.

Also, some guy let into my blog about some copy editing that didn't get done. I said "trample down the stairs" instead of "tramped" which is wrong. And I used to wrong word in "bare/bear with me." I mean, he's right. I wrote that shit out fast and I was hoping my editor would catch anything majorly wrong. So, I'm embarrassed that I didn't and annoyed that he didn't. But I'm also annoyed because I feel like he's only picking them out because he doesn't like that I disagreed with his opinion and that I don't cherish his beloved venue.

I shouldn't let it get to me. But, now I'm stressed that it certainly won't bode well for my applying for an "assistant editor" job.

My husband's doctor's office is full of incompetent, idiotic imbeciles (yay for alliterative insults). He drove all the way back down to Orlando to see this guy after his appointment has been rescheduled THREE times (and this rescheduling is not a new thing) and when he gets there they say they don't have his appointment on file. Because his dad goes there too and has the same first and last name but different middle names and his dad cancelled HIS appointment but they cancelled my husband's instead even though SUPPOSEDLY they keep track of records by birth date. I am understandably concerned because who knows how much else they've mixed up with actual health records between the two of them. Who knows if medications are being given or withheld because the stupid staff pulls the wrong records for the doctor and he is too BUSY BUSY BUSY to take note of the birth date on file. I don't consider myself a bitch when things get mixed up or messed up because things happen sometimes, but NOT WHEN IT COMES TO MEDICAL RECORDS!!! I have no tolerance for this.

here I am to give you a first world problem of epic proportions.

I went to go for a nice relaxing walk along the beach, or maybe into Stanley Park to my favorite walking-place, which is the Lost Lagoon.

But I was foiled at every turn by the Sun Run, which was about 40 million people running along the roads and paths that I needed to cross to get to my desired destinations. I had to setting with sitting on a park bench by the Heron nests feeding my Starbucks pastry to crows.

In short, if you follow the links, it would appear that I live in an awesome place and should probably be banned from all complaints...
