    Default Human

A good first example...humans. Humans are just our 'real world' people. They come in a variety of heights, weights, and colorations. Their cultures widely vary based on location, religion, etc. They tend to be all over the scale on good vs evil and tend to excel at any given profession.

Hm. If we're going with the normal high-fantasy type stuff, we might as well add

    Elves

Long lived (generally not eternally undying, though) and keen-sensed, Elves tend to be xenophobic and resistant to change. Almost universally tending to live in natural environments, they build around the trees, rocks, etc, and with them, rather than dozing them out of the way and using them for raw materials.

    Dwarves
Short and stocky, Dwarves are the miners and dwellers under the earth. They care less for nature than for the things (often beautiful in their own right) that can be made by their own hands. Clannish and closed to outsiders, Dwarves are tough like the rock they mine, and many shun contact with other races.

Hm. If we do have mulitple races of intelligent beings, can they interbreed? Can we have a half-elven fighter-mage-theif? Er. *puts away D&D manual* That always made me suspiscious in books. Would elven genetics really be compatible with human?

I think it is open to whoever wishes to add. That being said...

    Imps
Ranging in colours from green to grey to brown, imps are about two feet tall and rather scrawny. They tend to be quite agile and enduarant and sleep very little. Imps tend to be very devote in their going ons and commit to either a clan of their own race or as a servant to others. The latter imps are quite loyal despite the times they are mistreated.

By nature imps are empirical. They have developed their own mathematics and dont care much for literature although they adore catalouging!

Imps have usually one syllable names that at oft times are quite easy to pronounce. The name by imp tradition must include the mothers and fathers first letter of their names somewhere in theirs. Example: Tel (father) and Pan (mother) have a son named Pyth.

Little else is known of imps, though clans have been known to settle in old abandoned castles.

    Mister Foxes

Many words spring to mind when one thinks of a Mister Fox. Cute, kind and harmless are not some of these words. Few believe in the existence of these fairytale-like creatures, most who do are either children or slightly mad. But there are plenty of scholars who have researched them regardless, and words that spring to their minds are usually along the lines of evil, blood-lusting and bushy-tailed. A Mister Fox is part-human and part fox. They are mostly human in appearance, aside from their bushy tails and orange hair, yet they still share many attributes of the Fox. Cunning, quickness, sharp hearing and eyes and even sharper noses to name a few. The only reason they are such a small race is due to their habit of killing each others offspring, eating them in fact. Their exact numbers are unknown, but it's not likely to be more than a handful. How they mate is also unknown, though they certainly almost never mate with one another. Their origin is lost to all, even themselves supposedly, but they appear in many old stories. Lifespan also unknown. Generally fair-skinned.

    Nerominocunions a.k.a.: Neros

There is only one known in existence, since the destuction of the Neros homeworld. It is entirely unknown as to how they are created, even Mehnu doesnt truly know how it came to be, only that it involved much heat and fire! Telepathy is the only way that anyone has ever seen Mehnu use to "talk" and it is unknown if there are any other forms of communtication among this odd race. Also it is uknown if there are certain "genders" of Mehnus species.

    Totema

Totema are spirits that usually show themselves as animal spirits but in reality they are not, but are in reality they are simply the spirits of spirit parentage. So they never died but are dead. They are highly evasive and rare ( seeing how spirits have no bodies and thus no "equipment"). The totema are born when two spirits have such a connection that they can talk with out speaking (I'm literally talking about telekinesis) and eventually if that connection is used enough it starts to remember and think on its own and develop a personality. Then connection is then set free after one of the parent spirits meets the other and there is no need for the use of telekinesis.
After the totema is born the parent totemas can no longer communicate over long distances. Totema are, depending on the animal, ranged in size. Totema are impossible to hit with physical attacks, but are higly succeptable to the magic arts. They can use either physical or magical fighting techniques but they tend to fight more with physical based attacks.

    Peloquinns
A race of near humans that are identified by the tendrils that grow from their heads that look like dreadlocks. Their skin ranges from deep red to ruddy brown. They all have athletic builds no matter the sex and possess talons and fangs and have heightened senses that allows them somewhat of a 'sixth sense'. They need raw meat to gain any sort of nourishment even though they can eat other foods.
They are a passionate race though many dismiss them as beasts due to their somewhat bestial nature. They love to dance and create music and are usually very sexually active though once a mate is found that bond lasts until death comes to one of them.
They view magick in a very wiccan/ shamanistic way and hold seers in very high regard. They are forbidden to eat the flesh of sentients by their religion or "The Law".
"Wickedness is a myth invented by good people to account for the curious attractiveness of others."
What part of Mwa ha ha ha don't you understand?
