I would like to see some kind of God of Knowlegde. Sorf of a newtral god diety that explains stuff to mortals.

We need a God of Death, some kind of ruler of the Underworld, who controls souls after death. He should be neutral and generaly indifferent towards living things (sorta like Haides).

Is Zoe a bit redundant...clashing with Tierra? Just a thought...we're already starting to get more than I'd planned on having from the start. So, can you tell me how she's really different?

Yes I'll delete that post right now... or maybe edit it...hmmm...

Oh and I dont think that there could never be too many dieties. Who says they all have to be central to the war. A quick silent prayer to Lamorah when entering battle and such. I think stuff like that would make the war be one big story instead of parallel plots... etc.

at this point i think it'd be a decent idea to stop. at least for now. i know some people think we can't have too many gods, but we've got a pretty good pantheon going i think.

13 gods, good number.
My thought is that the God of Truth should maybe be neutral (you can lie in the name of good as well)? then we'd have 4 good, 4 evil, and 5 neutral. nice balance.

As for the god of Truth being neutral. Well I dont think he should be neutral per say b/c lying would by a bad thing whether you are good or bad.

Why is the God of Chaos evil but the God of Order is neutral? Also, the God of deceit is evil but the God of truth is neutral ... is it just for even numbers in each category? I'm kind of confused.

Does the God have to be outlined here in order for us to write about it in the war? If that's the case, I dunno ... that kinda limits the creativity imo. I wouldn't mind haveing at least one character that believes in monotheism.

um... that's exactly the point of why he should be neutral. he doesn't care if you're lying for good ends, or lying for bad ends, he's just pissed that you're lying.

Look, let's say a puppy is in a box. I tell mr. evil that puppy is in box A, so mr. evil blows up box A. meanwhile, puppy is in box B, and doesn't die. I lied to save the puppy (good), but the god of truth would still be pissed that i lied.

I really don't think the concept of truth is good or bad in itself. However, just talking with malcor, he thinks Kraemaux should be good to balance the god of deceit. Which i agree with, on purely balance reasons. (for that matter, i'd say that deceit is technically a neutral category as well, but whatever, too many neutral gods)

As for god of chaos being evil but god of order neutral...i think i just want to make most everyone neutral, but people don't like that. For that matter, god of luck should be neutral too. ~runs away~

I stand by God of Truth being Good.

Think of it as a weird type of good. The God of Truth is so obsessively against lying that he puts this sin above all else. People arent logical and Gods shouldnt have to be either imo.

Take this counter arguement to your example.

If you told Mr. evil that puppy was in box b even though it was a in box a, you would be lying which in itself is a "sin" . As an example paladins wouldnt lie. no matter what.


That being said I agree that Goddess of Luck should be neutral. She grants the blessing of luck to good and bad. Think of a cat burglar who slips and falls of a sky scraper but manages to grasp a hand whole before he plummits. He got lucky but he was commiting a evil act. A good Goddess wouldnt grant luck to a bad guy imo.

Okay, I should have clarified. There's no action you could take in that instance where you can do nothing wrong. See what I'm saying?
