    Arrow War forces/organizations

This is just another logical component of the ground-up design. This is a thread should contain an index of all forces and organizations in our War, to provide a good reference for anyone who needs it.

    Default Riders of Ehrenhal

Military of the grass plains of Ehrenhal. Arandil, Elin dae and Kelen dun.

Light cavalry organised into Deors'. A full Deor in battle order contains not less than 90 Riders. These are under the command of three Marshals, the highest ranking lieutenants of the lands fully equiped and trained Riders of Ehrenhal.

The 1st Marshals ward is the capital, Arandil, and the adjacent Lords lands. In the event of invasion or outbreak of war, he will have command over all forces based at Arandil, this is usually about nine Deors'.
The 2nd Marshals ward is the northern plains of Ehrenhal. In the event of invasion or war, he will have command over all the forces based at Elin dae, situated east of Arandil. This is usually about seven Deors'.
The 3rd Marshals ward is the southern plains of Ehrenhal. In the event of invasion or outbreak of war, he will have command over all forces based at Kelen dun, situated west of Arandil. This is usually about five Deors'.

The Full Muster of the Riders of Ehrenhal is around two thousand. 21 Deors'.

The Riders of Ehrenhal have only been called into a Full Muster once and that was a long time ago, fearing invasion from Neves the Ehrenon lord rode at the head of a host nearly three times the size of the current military. This was in a time when the Ehrenon covered alot more land and had a larger population. The brief war ended against Neves a stalemate, there forces were alot larger than the Ehrenons and they inflicted heavy damages upon the horselords but they were held at bay until a treaty was made.

Riders only wear partial armour and a shield. Black cloaks hang from their backs bearing the rearing white horse of Ehrenhal. The armour is dark grey. The weapons a rider uses vary, though they all wear swords, most carry spears while others bows.

    Default The Cult of Locus

In the Narsh Desert, the God of Ill Fortune, Locus has his temple.

His followers, while few, are religious fanatics who use his ill-fated magics to decieve or destroy anything between themselves and power. The cult is guided by the God Locus himself, who works in the world through his prophet and disciple, Sheolin. The prophet is the complete master of the temple of Locus, under him fall the Farlinga~ Illusionists one and all, these ill-willing trickster magi are the most frivolous of Mages upon the earth. The most powerful of the Illusionists delve into the arts of Necromancy, Summoning, and Geomancy, going beyond the images to the creation of real conditions.

Farlinga geomancers of past ages created the Narsh Desert, but none have been able to rival such massive power for countless Aeon. The current Farlinga do have the power, however, to keep the Temple of Locus in condition of a resplendent oasis. Their current Illusionists keep the Temple away from uninvited guests.

    Default Military of Delen'dun

The military of the great city of Delen'dun.

The kings Sigil is a blue half moon on a field of white.

The Dardenions are masters of the battlecry, they wear broze body armour and bronze helmets with horsehair mantles (greek helmet design). The captains all wear white cloaks with blue borders and the kings sigil at the centre in blue.

Though the general military is armed differently they all carry large round bronze shields across their backs most usuualy embossed with the halfmoon sigil. They all also carry short swords at the waist, but these are not the weapons of choice. Spears/Javelins are used most commonly or the bow and arrow-archers.

The current military numbers between four and five thousand but in the event of war or invasion they have a large number of reserves/part time soldiers to call upon.-4,600men.

Neves has an incredibly strong military, six defensive outposts contain around three hundred men each. Sylvertown boasts around six hundred men and the Brooklands district around four hundred.

They have a further two thousand five hundred men based in barracks to the south of the city. Many men of Neves are also part time soldiers or veterans, their armour stored away waiting for the call of duty, they number close too two thousand.

The army that fought against Ehrenhal thirty years ago was twelve thousand strong, the current military numbers around seven thousand three hundred men-7,300.

The sigil is a red and yellow fiery eclipse of a white star on a field of purple.

The military is largely made up of infantry, pikemen and archers. They have a very small cavalry.

Silver plate armour, plumed helmet and a deep puple cloak bearing the sigil. The commonly used weapon is a fine Neves double edged sword strapped at the waist. This is usually accompanied by a rectangular shield.

There is also an undergound group of priests that are known only by rumour these are men that live the lives of normal citesens but will drop everything to fight in the name of verlet. their numbers are not known but the rumor estimates anywhere from 100 to 1000. Default Re: War forces/organizations

The Angry Boar Company of the infamous Elite Nyrmidian Dogs Head Brigade.

The company consists of approximately one hundred and ten men, all veterans from the Dardenian Civil War five years past...some say the war would have been won by the Nyrmidians had the Dogs Head Brigade been at the final battle...they’re still bitter about not being there, having been caught up in the siege of Ithili.

The Angry Boar Company where never considered the best of the Brigade but there is no doubt they where and still are the meanest...they’re the first into the places no one wants to go...and its a testament to their strength when after the war, the Dardenian King didn’t dare split them up...even after disbanding the Dogs Head Brigade and making their Major General, Dainian Noradeis, his champion...he left them untouched...they’ve just always been too damn effective and successful.

Everyone who knows about the war and the King, knows he fears them and so always sends them away, most times on certain death unwinable missions, hoping they’ll fail...only they never do...but he always wants them as far away as possible...most recently he sent them to Ameloct as an escort to some minor nobles to simply get them out of his hair...

Only they’ve managed to stumble across, to their great joy, an enemy that may be their match...they’re currently in Ameloct...celebrating.
