    Default Episode III

    Warning maybe some spoilers,

The Creeping Fear.....oh dear, I hope not.

    May 2005.

Lucas can't go wrong though...can he?

    Obi Wan vs Anakin
    The Jedi wipe out
    The Clone War
    Luke and Leia
    Anakin/Vader
Palpatine and the rise of the empire
    Padme/Amidala dying
    Chewbacca
    Count Dooku's death
    and so much more.

OK I really didn't like EpII but, don't hit me, I liked EpI and obviously I loved IV, V and VI. This one has got to seriously rock, doesn't it?

I still think Lucas should hand the directing reigns to his best buddy and far better director, Steven Spielberg, though that will never happen, I can but wish.

I read a funny thing earlier suggesting Yoda was a Sith Lord, hehe....but the points the thing raised where certainly interesting. Yoda being that dead jedi guy who created the clones and so on...urgh I'm tired...anyway, Discuss people..discuss!

I watched EpII quickly today to see again if that argument I read about yoda being a sith lord could be true....I doubt it, yet there is a hint of something very suspicious me thinks about lil ol yoda.

George Lucas has promised something that will change our whole view on the star wars series much like the dath vader "I'm your father" moment. So, yeah...yoda....Master Sytha Diaous, me thinks, I do.

Also, listening to the comentary at the end, yoda has a strange and as GL put it, "very intentional" scowl upon his face...at least I think it was a sowl.

hmmm, I could keep this going for ages, a discussion/argument with myself...someone please help me...or do you not care

Do you think Amadala dies? I thought she lived until the planet exploded.

meh, i can count the "cool" moments from ep I and II on the fingers of one hand. Lucas has proven to me he can royally screw up the series, so i'm not looking for much out of III.

I think amidala's death is what will turn anikin to the dark side..... there is a line in EpII wear he says he will become so powerful he will be able to make people live again...maybe this is what palpatine(darth sidious) baits him into turning against the jedi with.

I'm with arch. Episodes I and II were so bad, I don't care for the series anymore. I don't expect III to be good but I will still probably go see it, just to see how it ends/begins.

I don't know I actually liked ep 1 and 2 there were some really cool things in them. My big gripes are the stupid kid in the first one who played anakin, horrible actor and yeah i know he's young but damn he was bad. then the whole pod racing thing and midiclorians bah to all that. number 2 was much better in my opinion al lot more interesting plot developements in it, still not completely psyched about the anakin choice but he could have been worse.

As far as the 3rd movie is concerned I'm just excited about the Obi-Wan, Anakin fight. If you hate every other aspect of the movies you really just gotta love the fights. kick butt Jedi battle if I do say so myself.

As far as spielberg directing them is concerned I think it is an extremely bad idea. While I am not 100% happy with the job GL is doing I must say the last few spielberg movies I've seen have been just as disappointing. Can anyone say minority report and AI

yes...minority report and AI were great

Anyway, its never gonna happen, so blah to that.

Darth Maul was soooo cool, the fight between Obi Wan and him was the best of all th fights in my opinion.

    Yeah, anyway, EpIII.

Something big is gonna happen with Yoda, I just know it. I did think EpII sucked, but StarWars is still such a great series that the new one could be absolutely amazing, just as long as they kill jar jar it will be excellent, hehe.

Oh, yeah and Obi Wan vs Anakin and Mace Windu's last stand ought to be brilliant aswell.

first, i too hated episode 2. utter tripe. i mean, anakin slaughters a whole village of people, women and children both the sicko, and amidala still likes him? how could anyone possibly be so deranged? and the acting was even worse than that of lotr which is saying something.

i think lucas should have done episodes I, II & III all in the style of the clone wars animated mini-series. they were excellent. although somehow oh big one knob still ended looking and sounding like jesus (what? i know what he sounded like...) and i still misliked anakin. that old sith guy, not sidius but his underling, was the coolest, so sean connery-like.

    *also liked darth maul*

*not the hugest fan of star wars, but definitely a fan of the dark side*

I don't think Amidala lives until the planet explodes, since Leia pretty much said that she has only a dim memory of her mother's face. Of course, it's possible that Amidala goes to Alderan with Leia, stays for a few years then figures out that her staying is putting Leia in danger with Vader/Anakin still looking for her, or something. I don't know.

I actually enjoyed the first 2 films, the first one much more than the second. I am looking forward to the big fight scenes in the last one....Vader/Anakin v. Obi-wan and Mace Windu's exit (which I've not heard much about except that it's something befitting Samuel L. Jackson).

    Overall, I'd say I'm excited.

I think it finally donned on me why the ep I and II were so lousy. It was the music. It was not classical enough. In ep IV, V and VI there was a parallel orchestral story that accompanied the developing plot.

This time around it seems like its just randomn old bits spliced with some new sound effects for a morning radio show.

But the music is by the same composer who did the episodes IV through VI.

I liked episodes I and II, not as much as the first three I think becase the older ones were different and ground breaking at the time. I just like the idea of seeing how Anikan becomes Darth Vader.

I also like seeing the side stories like Boba Fett and C3P0. Also seeing Yoda kick ass is awesome!

I got to watch episode II at the Imax theater, highly recommended!

    let's see.

    -darth maul's fight scene/death
-the voyage through the planet underwater when they got to see godzilla.
    -yoda with the light saber.

i think there might be one or two other things i liked, but i can't think of them, so they obviously didn't make that large an impression. the gladiator arena gets honorable mention, but not for any of the real fight, just because i liked the critters they designed.

So does anybody have any idea of who Master Sytha Dias is?

The jedi who apparently created the clone army, who could he be.

Going for the long shot, I say Yoda.

And buck, the music "Dual of Fates" (?) I think works really well with the battles at the end of EpI.

I liked Minority Report, and AI... well I know AI was soo soo bad, but there was something about that little robot searching for the blue fairy that just broke my heart. I don't think I have cried so hard for any other movie. When he finds the statue beneath the sea and asks it to make him a real boy... oh man that was SAD that was just sooo flipping sad. And yet I know it was one of the worst movies ever as far as some of the dialogue and plot development. It's even more dissapointing because it could have been very good. What I dislike about Minority Report and AI is that they both could have been sublime science fiction films, but it's almost as if the film makers didn't take the stories seriously themselves, and regarded them as a bit ludicrus rather than worthy, and treated them as such, which diminished good stories. Oh well still liked them. And come to think of that ET was also like that to an extent (but not as much) So I reckon Stephen Spielberg is just not a good sci fi director. And would be dreadful for Star Wars.

As for Episode III... well I enjoyed the first two on first viewing at the movies, but I'd never bother to watch them again. The mitichlorians... oh man... why... why It's like reading a much loved book only to find your favourite character died on the toilet. It's like George Lucas made the force die on the toilet! But yeah I'll still go see Ep III LMAO at the Merchant Ivory in space comment... (was that even in this thread? tehe... the quill is blurring into one giant post for me)
