The problem I have with 'The Anita Blake ' series is that I see so much potential in the writing, and don't get me wrong I LOVE the smut

but I think L.K.H has fallen into a typecast. I love the whole necromancy thing but the darkness of the stories gets kind of lost in all the sarcasm, whining and sex.
The vampires are a bit too Anne Rice but then again I have a preference for Bad M.F. vamps like early Spike, Drusilla, Darla, Angelus and Deacon Frost from 'Blade' (then again I hated Buffy and loved Faith).

Has anyone read Danse Macabre yet or has everyone been put off by the sex? I borrowed Micah from a friend and it was pretty much a waste of time. Some might argue that it was good character development, but this far into the series I don't feel it's really needed. At least not in book form. At the most make it a short story.

if it's out, I've read it, altho at this point the titles get all muddled up in my head. I totally agree about Micah, tho, what a waste of time. Yes, it TOTally had that short story feel to it and when I finished it I felt all empty like huh? That's it?

um... ew. I know I'm far faaaar from an expert on animation of any kind but those are really terrible. And I totally cant figure out who each character is.

I don't think they're awful...more like rough drafts. Hopefully the graphic novel will have better representations. I think the names of the characters are in the URL, NF. That sould help you out.

You can see the URL in the address bar at the top of your browser (unless you keep it hidden). And there is no pic of Jean Claude at that site, but I'm pretty sure the pictures from the link below show him. At least I think that's him in his lacy chest-bearing shirt.
