It's so much to take in already. I'm having a hard time processing it.

I need to be sleeping now, but I'll be back....

I've been poking around and watching some clips of their previous experience. My feelings are mixed.

Visually I think Mat & Egwene are my biggest pet peeves. They both totally miss the mark for me.

Mat almost has the look but... no. He doesn't look remotely mischievous and I keep searching for a pic of him with that grin... haven't found it yet. Also I can't find much video of him acting. The clips I've seen are minimal for his screen time.

Egwene looks NOTHING like I want her to look, but I saw some video of her acting and she definately has the chops. Which kind of annoys me because I don't want her to look like she looks, haha. But whatever. I still haven't seen her looking, either in video or still pics, imposing; determined, a bad ass. Which Egwene needs to be, or she's not Egwene. She's also way, way too skinny, haha. For the character, not for herself.

Nynaeve looks nothing like I envisioned but I can sort of accept the look except when I looked at her acting it's like, omg NO. I hope what I've seen is an indication of crappy direction and not crappy acting.

Perrin I can totally see. Not what I'd envisioned but I can see him in the part. I wish he were a bit broader but I'm sure I will get used to that, he's a pretty big guy from what I've seen.

Rand is the character I care least about, haha, but I can see the actor visually and honestly I don't think Rand's gonna be all that complicated to portray. I just hope HOPE hope they make his hair a realistic looking red. If he comes out looking like KJ Apa I'm gonna be

Moiraine... ok. Not what I'd pictured but I can imagine her as Aes Sedai. I think I will get used to her pretty quickly so long as they make her hair dark and don't leave it blondish.

All unknown to me too. Even the Dutch guy, and in this small country everybody knows everybody

NF! everything yous said - YES! except i felt most OK about Egwene, i think it was her big eyes that got me. She's got a kind of vulnerable-strength in her face that i can see as Egwene. Of all of them, I felt like Perrin was the best match, again, not was I was thinking, but he's got a kind of big sad physicality that i believe.

Rand is the character I care least about, haha, but I can see the actor visually and honestly I don't think Rand's gonna be all that complicated to portray. I just hope HOPE hope they make his hair a realistic looking red. If he comes out looking like KJ Apa I'm gonna be

I think my first impression is that this (with only this to go on) is it reminds me of the Shannara TV series. (Not a good thing). They all look beautiful...but not a lot of character. It will be interesting to see what they decide to do/not do with makeup and costuming, I suppose.

I'll also admit that this is probably due to my lack of imagination, but I'd always imagined the different nations having people roughly equivalent to our real world races. If there is this much diversity in Emond's Field (and yes, diversity is great, that isn't my point), how can we say Rand is the spitting image of an Aiel if everyone looks like everyone (as an example)? It's probably a better, more modern idea. Small potatoes, I think, but still jars against what I have in my head. But, if it's good, I'll adapt!
